Modista: Allows you to browse for your handbags, shoes, and eye wear by similarity. There’s so many visual search sites competing for eyeballs, whomever is able to capture and thoroughly sift through content (the way Google has via key words) will be the dominant presence. There’s definitely a need for a site like this one, I’m just waiting to see which visual search engine will be the next Gorilla in the industry. My favorite search engine thus far with an entirely different take on visual search compared to the site above is SearchMe.
I’d love to know how you search, do you use visual search engines or are you a habitual Google addict? Personally, I’m a creature of habit, so it takes a few times for me to readjust my user patterns to new (even easier ways) to search the net.
